Programmers
and biologists at the Fish and Wildlife Information Exchange worked
with staff at the Shenandoah National Park to compile the various
biological and physical/chemical monitoring datasets for the Park
into a single consistent Microsoft Access application. Datasets for
vegetation, fisheries, aquatic macro invertebrates, fauna, air quality,
and many others were converted. The result was a system that permits
cross-disciplinary analysis and reporting. CMI had one permanent staff
member onsite at the park which blended the mission and projects together
nicely.
