Many
of the most pressing challenges and opportunities for conservation are
not found in the United States but rather in Central and South America,
Africa, and Asia. Virginia Tech has a commitment and an extensive track
record of working around the world. We focus on providing training and
expertise to governments and nongovernmental organizations particularly
in the areas of fisheries development, nontimber
forest products, information management, ecological monitoring and
evaluation, natural resources management, and planning.
Please contact Jeff Waldon, CMI Assistant Director, at 540-231-4540
or fwiexchg@vt.edu for more information.
