CMI has been assisting the Piedmont Geriatric Hospital near Burkesville, VA to evaluate the use of native warm season grasses as a feedstock for their boiler. They produce all the steam used for the hospital operations to heat the buildings and to provide hot water.
CMI has worked out a system for delivering native warm season grasses and several test burns have been conducted successfully.
