Vegetation mapping is the process of cartographically segregating recurring assemblages of floral species (i.e. vegetative communities) across a landscape. The purpose of this vegetative communities map is to provide natural resource managers and researchers with current information regarding the composition of vegetation communities and their distribution within the boundaries of Army National Guard-Maneuver Training Center Fort Pickett (ARNG-MTC Fort Pickett). This information will increase the ability of land managers to make knowledgeable decisions regarding natural resource management at ARNG-MTC Fort Pickett.
